[Composition] The active ingredient is Memantine Hydrochloride.

[Indications and Usage] This drug is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe dementia of the Alzheimer’s type.

[Dosage Form] 10mg tablet

[Dosage and Administration] This product should be prescribed to and instructed on patients by doctors experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. Treatment should not begin unless with a caregiver routinely supervising the patient’s oral administration. Diagnosis on dementia should be performed using current criteria and guidelines.

Adult dose: Maximum daily dose is 20mg. To minimize adverse reactions, the dose should be increased in 5mg increments per week to gradually reach the maintenance dose, as described below:

Starting Dose (week 1): 5mg (half a tablet) for once daily, taken in the morning.

Dose for Week 2: 10mg daily (half a tablet each time, for twice daily).

Dose for Week 3: 15mg daily (1 tablet for the morning, half a tablet for the afternoon).

Dose since Week 4: take the recommended maintenance dose of 20mg daily (1 tablet each time, for twice daily).

Memantine tablets can be taken with or without food.
